Why TSM South Korea？

What motivates you to join TSM?
I believe that TSM will allow me to learn new things not only from the class but also from the real working industry. It's quite a great opportunity for me to broaden my perspectives and learn from the best people in the industry. I would like to visit these companies and learn their business strategies and advanced technologies. Moreover, I also want to have the chance to know possible challenges they may have and how technology can actually solve the problems.

Why pick South Korea ?
South Korea is one of the driving forces in technology development in Asia pacific. Today, Korea is an industrial nation standing tall on the world stage. Its semiconductor, automobile, shipbuilding, steel making, and IT industries are on the leading edge in global markets. Other than the achievement of its technology development,Korean dramas, movies, and music are attracting many audiences in Asian countries and beyond, creating what is being called the "Korean Wave." I believe that I will definitely benefit a lot by being able to join this study mission to Korea.

Internship Opportunities

I am quite open to any internship opportunities and I enjoy working with people from different backgrounds. Previously I worked for Daimler AG and had great learning experience from there and I hope I can intern in technology companies which will definitely let me learn more.

Starting Business

What types of business interest you?

• Technology products related to consumer goods and restaurant.
• e-commerce, online shopping

What plan do you have in starting a business?
Actually before I came to Singapore to study, I have already opened a online store on Taobao,which is the largest online shopping website in China. By doing this, I had basic understanding of how this business model works. My goal is to have my own business in the area like e-commerce, technology products related to consumer goods and restaurant and before that I hope to gain a few years of working experience.

Past Experience

• Last summer,I worked for Centre of Competence After Sales department of Daimler AG herein Singapore.I am responsible for the application(web &app) testing, data analytics,drafting high level design documents etc. And I am quite proud of that I was part of the team which in charge of Mercedes-Benz "Xiu Yang" App go live in Taiwan.
  
• During my Year 1 summer, I worked for Xi’an DISAI Biological Pharmaceutical Co., LTD in China and I am responsible for maintaining database.
  
• This semester I am doing IS480 with awesome team members(Team VIVA La Vida)to build applications(Web & Android app) for our sponsor company Rentafi which is a startup company that provides the rental of portable 4G Wifi devices. View our deployed Rentafi web application here !
