Why TSM South Korea?

What motivates you to join TSM?

I've been exposed to entrepreneurship ever since I entered University. These entrepreneurs have inspired me in every single way. Since then, I have been wishing that someday, I'll be able to start up my own business (hopefully, something to give back to the society).

Therefore, I felt that it is a great opportunity for me to join a TSM in SMU so that I'll be exposed to startups companies in other countries & understand the working culture there :)

Why South Korea?

I went to Korea on my 21st birthday and I love it there!!! The culture, the shopping, the people and not forgetting, the food!

Starting a business

What types of businesses interest you?

  • Fashion
  • Florist
  • F&B (Cafes)
  • Healthcare

What plans do you have in starting a business?

I always dream of having a cafe with a florist beside it on the 1st storey & dance studios on the 2nd storey & hot yoga studios on the 3rd storey.
But if you ask me to be realistic.... I would probably start up a business that will reach out to the special kids :)

Past Experiences

Describe your past experience (entrepreneurship, or works in start ups etc)

When I was taking CAT, my group and I did a project for Silver Spring Pte Ltd, a startup to help displaced professionals to return to the workforce. In addition, I did my summer internship at Pulsesync which focuses on IT healthcare solution for aged care.

What keeps you ticking?

"Determination will get you through this"
