Why TSM Silicon Valley?

  • Silicon Valley as a startup haven continuously sharpens its innovative edge to remain one of the top place to be for tech companies. Not only that, the culture in the acceptance, management and willingness to fail stands in stark contrast to how we see and respond to failure here in South East Asia, especially Singapore. In addition, my interest in startup companies heighten during my Summer Internship with a Singapore tech startup, this brought me to explore the possibility of founding my own business and creating the next big thing in the tech landscape. As such, the temptation to visit Silicon Valley, is difficult to resist when the opportunity for me to learn from the best in the startup industry presents itself in this TSM.

Internship Opportunities

  • What types of internship opportunities interest you?
  • Any ideal firms (based in Silicon Valley) that you wishes to join?

Starting a business

  • What types of business interest you?

Tech businesses enhancing social interaction and productivity be it software/hardware (wearable devices) fascinates me.

  • What plans do you have in starting a business? (list existing business)

While I do have an intention of starting my own business, I have yet to come up with anything concrete yet

Past Experiences

  • Describe your past experience (entrepreneurship, or works in start ups, etc)

This Summer, being able to intern at a start up here in SG was 1 of the best decision I've made so far. Not only was I involve in the IT aspect of it, being involve in the product and business development broadened my view on how a start up works and operates from idea conception to taking action. Take for example, the ideas generated from our discussions being realized as we work with overseas developers in producing the module/solution to a business problem.
