About Limecraft

Limecraft is a video-production platform company that streamlines the video production process. Limecraft holds multiple in house technology for different purposes. Of which, there is Limecraft Flow.

Limecraft Flow is an online media production environment that stores all your documents and clips in one online repository. It integrates with your scriptwriting and editing software and supports your production process with easy to use and intuitive tools. Limecraft Flow makes production planning, shooting and post-production fun and fast.

Limecraft Flow offers an unprecedented level of collaboration and a new way of accessing and sharing your documents and clips worldwide. Furthermore it understands the content of your script and extracts the information necessary for your breakdown. This information is used to help name your clips. As such LimecraftFlow makes your production time-efficient and cost-effective.

Founding Team

  • Maarten Verwaest (CEO and Founder): With a background as technology expert in public broadcasting, Maarten has a broad network in the media production business and a keen appreciation of current trends. At Limecraft, Maarten focuses on investor’s relationships, financing and equity placement.
  • Nico Oorts (VP Product and founder): Nico worked both in public broadcasting as application engineer and in telecommunications as project manager of content distribution. Within Limecraft he is the design authority on innovative media applications. He oversees Limecraft's product line and development planning.
  • Dieter Van Rijsselbergen (CTO and founder): Dieter is finalizing his PHD-dissertation at the Ghent University's Multimedialab on large-scale architecture for video and metadata processing. With his distinct academic background, he is in charge of all technical solutions for Limecraft's product line.
  • Yves Van Hecke (VP International business Development): Yves has a proven track record of increasing the turnover of companies active in the field of media technology and leading them to mergers or acquisitions. Yves creates Limecraft’s primary value stream and drives the international rollout of its products.

Recent development

October 2013: Limecraft presents the new release of Limecraft Flow, the cloud-based collaboration platform for film and documentary professionals. The latest version includes Limecraft Flow for Factual and it will be launched at the 40th Ghent Film Fest. It also marks their entry into another form of video production process: documentary. January 2013: Limecraft, provider of an online media production platform, today announced that it has received 470K EUR in funding from iMinds (formerly IBBT), Qunova and a number of private investors with a strong background in the media industry.
