Why Virtual TSM?
- What motivates you to join TSM?
My journey in entrepreneurship started during my first internship at a startup. It was there that I dove into the world of UI/UX and found my passion for Product Management. What truly stuck with me was the hustle and bustle of the startup scene – the constant learning, the drive for innovation, and the process of building something from ground up. I enjoyed every moment I spent brainstorming and coming up with creative solutions.
Joining TSM in Silicon Valley would be a dream come true, a chance to step into that same environment, connect with kindred spirits, and witness innovation in Silicon Valley firsthand. TSM was actually also what drew me in to join Information Systems in SMU
- Where would you like to visit?
Definitely big tech firms like - Apple, Facebook, Google, Netflix, eBay, Paypal and the list goes on... Oh & Zoom would be quite interesting too given how it has significantly impacted all of us ever since Covid-19 happened. But also it's Silicon Valley so anything goes!
Other than big tech, I would definitely want to visit startup incubators/accelerators too to gain insights on the start-up ecosystem! Lastly, I would looove to visit the Computer History Museum just because I would love to go through the history of technology :) & I just enjoy museums haha
Starting a business
- What types of business interest you?
As someone who has always been interested in human and consumer behaviour as well as leveraging a fascination with emerging technology, I am deeply intrigued by the potential of AI and ML to transform the way consumers engage with products and services across various domains. Regardless of whichever industry or solution, I am driven to explore opportunities that prioritise the consumer's needs and desires - especially in B2C businesses and platform services.
- What plans do you have in starting a business?
While I do not have a solid plan out yet, I most definitely would want to start a business sometime in the future after gaining insights and experiences all around and I believe TSM would be a great avenue for me to do so as well. At the moment, I am more inclined toward the healthcare and wellness industry - especially catered to the ageing population as I believe it is a space that can be developed even further, especially in Singapore.
