Why Virtual TSM?

  • What motivates you to join TSM?

Technology has become a dominating factor in today's world, and with emergence of "smart-city" concept around the world, I am intrigued by the question of how we can bridge the technology and innovation to wider social goods. I felt that "Technopreneurship" is the next big thing for building and coordinating future smart-cities and communities, where the potentials of technology are translated into businesses that innovate existing systems and products, and make an impact on people's life. I believe, through my experience from joining TSM, I will be enlightened of how I can embark a leap into the world of "Technopreneurship".

  • Where would you like to visit?

I believe that Seoul (and South Korea in general) is a thriving tech startup scene, especially a hotspot for various smart-city solutions and businesses.

1. Samsung Electronics

2. Google Campus (Seoul)

3. KAIST and SNU (I would like to see how technology is nurtured in university level)

4. Songdo (I wonder how they built a Smart City entirely from scratch on a reclaimed land!!! something that Singapore can try as well!)

5. My Workspace

6. KBS and SBS (Korea's Powerhouse Showbiz Centers)

7. Venta VR

Starting a business

  • What types of business interest you?

Coming from a developing country, studying in Singapore has opened my eyes to a variety of technology fields that I can build back in my home country. My particular interest was piqued by Singapore's smart-nation concept and how corporations have contributed to it. As an SMT student, I believe that smart cities provide a plethora of business opportunities. I am most keen about businesses that work on digital integration to enhance connectivity and convenience of daily living.

  • What plans do you have in starting a business?

Currently, I am delving into ventures in the field of smart cities (e.g., IoT, DigitalTwins, smart living applications, and geospatial technologies). I do not have a concrete idea yet but I would like to explore how I can channel my knowledge and skillsets into a viable business.
