Why Virtual TSM?
- What motivates you to join TSM?
I would like to join this programme as I am interested to know more about the Korean culture as well as the startup culture. I would like to have the first-hand experience interacting with the stakeholders to understand at how they organize their business, how they solve problems, and how they achieve their goals. It would be both inspiring and motivating to learn from such passionate individuals helming startups, consequently also allowing me to apply some of the skills and knowledge which I have gained in my own career and personal life as well.
- Where would you like to visit?
Seoul: Kakao, Google campus, Korean Entertainment companies (e.g. KBS, SM Entertainment), Korean F&B companies, Seoul National University (if possible)
Starting a business
- What types of business interest you?
I am more interested in mature startups as I would like to hear their success stories and challenges. As a mature startup, it would be valuable to learn about the various difficulties which they encountered and the ways which they have taken to overcome them. Moreover, evaluating the ways which they lead their business would also shed light on the various factors contributing to a successful startup. Startups which use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology would also be especially interesting as I would like to know how they use AI to set themselves apart from their competitors, especially considering the prevalence of AI in the industry currently. It would also be enlightening to know the ways which they have taken to ensure the success of their technology.
- What plans do you have in starting a business?
I would like to know more about the process of building a startup, such as the ways to solve business challenges as well as establishing the brand. I also aim to gain inspiration from everyday life for a business idea that I am passionate about.
