Why TSM?
What motivates you to join TSM?
I’ve heard about TSM ever since I was a freshman and have set my sights on applying in the future because of the overseas experience and being able to learn about the startup culture of other countries, so here I am!
Ever since I’ve been on a trip to Blk71 many moons ago, I’ve always wanted to work for a startup one day – which I did eventually, and it was a great experience because you get to learn a lot from doing everything.
Where do you NOT want to travel for TSM?
No preference, am open to anywhere. 😃
Starting a business
What types of business interest you?
FinTechs! I’m always amazed when I come across FinTech startups that are working towards financial inclusion, and making financial services available to the unbanked or the underbanked. M-Pesa is a great example.
What plan do you have in starting a business?
Was part of a tech startup in my first two years in SMU and we’re currently incubated at SMU BIG! And maybe a FinTech startup in the future. 😃

- Part of the team that is advancing Singapore’s Green Finance agenda, by building partnerships with Green FinTech startups to identify potential use cases beneficial to Singapore, and also supporting our FinTech startup ecosystem through the Global FinTech Hackcelerator and the FSTI Digital Acceleration Grant
Software Engineering Intern (Distributed Ledger Technology) at GovTech Singapore, May 2020 – Oct 2020
- Had the chance to work on OpenAttestation, an open source framework to endorse and verify documents using the blockchain – HealthCerts was built upon this and the latter is also used by many tech startups working on digital health passport products!
Product Lead, Developer Courses at HelloHolo, Nov 2018 – Apr 2020
- Was securing co-funding from the Ministry of Education, SkillsFuture, IMDA and NTUC for our developer courses on mixed reality tech, enabling more Singaporeans to upskill themselves with emerging tech
