Why TSM New York City?

  • What motivates you to join TSM?

I really look forward to an interactive out of the class experience, one of the main reasons why I enjoy SMU is the various opportunities to learn and apply knowledge in a practical sense. TSM being a technological-based entrepreneurship module will be more aligned with what I am currently studying as an Information Systems student.

  • Why pick New York City?

It has many benefits, such as a central location for top tech talents. New York's wall street is also the world capital of Finance and that there will be huge venture fundings available. Being the most densely populated city in the US, startups will be able to address a wider demographic with the optimal resources. Another reason is that I have yet to visit New York before hahaha.

Starting a business

  • What types of business interest you?

Currently, I am working on two different startups. One in Construction materials and the other in Retail logistics. I am generally interested in all businesses as long as I feel that it is viable and sustainable in the long run. My current interest would be towards machine learning tools.

  • What plan do you have in starting a business?

Identify problems and missing links in day to day life. Figure out what's necessary to solve identified issues. If the time taken to acquire solution personally is justifiable, go work, network, and learn. If not, hire the specialists and start the business.
