Why TSM New York City?

  • What motivates you to join TSM? TSM is a great opportunity to explore and get real world experience in terms of entrepreneurship.
  • Why pick New York City? New York’s tech scene is expanding. With huge venture-capital investment, tech giants and tons of local startups in the city. With other industries such as finance, media and advertising, greater gender and racial diversity and the city’s centuries-old status as a center of global commerce, New York provides a contrast to Silicon Valley, which has been criticized for being out of touch with the rest of the country and overly homogeneous in both company employees and the people for whom they create products.

Starting a business

  • What types of business interest you?

Anything that revolves around Technology really, but primarily cybersecurity or analytics.

  • What plan do you have in starting a business? (list existing business)

Before coming into University, I participated in ICE71 Cybersecurity Entrepreneurship Bootcamp. My idea revolved around automating the process of helping SMEs get around with the PDPA regulation without the need to train, retrain employees to save cost while abiding by the new regulation. I presented to a board of Directors and was given an opportunity to expand my idea, however, as I was more inclined to focus my time on school, I kindly declined.

Since then, I have participated in many hackathons to keep the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit burning, to constantly innovate and think out of the box.

Also, I have a tiny instagram shop selling some of my semi-precious gemstones but I have not been updating it since army :) https://www.instagram.com/krxpire/

Past Experiences

I was awarded a scholarship by Kaspersky to participate in the Global Cybersecurity Camp 2018 in Korea earlier this year. I interned at InsiderSecurity, a cybersecurity startup in Singapore before University and the experience allowed me to get involved with the cybersecurity startup scene in Singapore.
