Why TSM Hong Kong?

• What motivates me to join TSM?
  

My main motivation of joining this TSM is to experience first hand the business culture in other countries. Although Singapore is a great city, it is important to put myself out there in order to further enhance my general knowledge. As an entrepreneur, I would love to be able to get fresh and interesting perspectives, and ideas outside of the box. As a student, going on this TSM will be a great experience for me to get out of my comfort zone, to meet new people, and gain current insights related to my field of study and future career that I wish to pursue.

• Why pick Hong Kong?

Similar to Singapore, Hong Kong is one of the top countries in Asia to do business in, and is globally, one of the most ideal places to register a business. The country welcomes business owners and entrepreneurs with their business-friendly regulations. As friendly and strong competitors, it would be interesting to compare how these 2 countries conduct businesses in order to gain more insights.

Starting a business

• What types of business interest you?

I tend to keep a open mind on how technology as a business can help people in many ways, hence i don't narrow myself to a particular type of business that I am interested in. However, I do feel that there are many good technologies out there currently, yet not many that does very well at solving major social or global issues. This might be something that I would consider pursuing in the future.

• What plan do you have in starting a business? (list existing business)

I've started a small business with 2 other friends to test the waters on how it would be like to start a business.
Favore was founded last year in 2017 as a virtual personal assistant to assist our clients in daily tasks that are tedious and mundane.
We are a team of 3, where 2 of my other partners are in charge of marketing and operations, while I am in charge building the technology required.
