Why TSM South Korea?
What motivates you to join TSM?
Information age has already come. In nowadays, almost every business has related to information technology to a certain degree, and technology has resolved into human's daily life. The development of society has required a more detailed segmentation of services. Potentially there is still much of technology/service area for us to dig out. Hence, I would like to seize this opportunity to get to know how other technology companies started up and operated, and hope that this journal experience could be useful for my future entrepreneurship.
Why pick South Korea?
As with the rising popularity of Samsung, South Korea has again proved its strong competency on electronic science and technology industry. Integration of hardware and software will be the key for our future electronic products. Meanwhile, I am also interested in the future moves of South Korea's large companies like Samsung, as South Korea is neighbour of China and recently has just open a free trade area - Shang Hai. Hence, I would like to take a deep look into how the previous "Asian Tiger" conduct its business, as well as experience the local culture.

Starting a business
What types of business interest you?
- Business that provide platform for people to express their professions
- Business that provide platform for people to express their interests (like drawing, travelling, photography)
- Business that helps improve people's daily lives (design mobile device, or health monitor device which are for elder people)
What plan do you have in starting a business?
I had a engineering diploma with 2nd major in material science, and now I'm studying information technology in SMU. During these few years' of study, I accumulated certain knowledge and development sufficient software skills. I have been trying to tap into different areas of knowledge. And I also have been attending technology related event, like cyber security exhibition(RSA 2013 Singapore) and different talks host in SMU. Besides, I am also sourcing for friends who are in same/different majors and have same entrepreneurship interest with me to form up a team. The next step will be participating business events where we could propose our ideas.
Past Experiences
- I tried to open an online shop for selling kitchen supplies(via Chinese Alibaba platform - Taobao), but already closed down as over-competitive environment and limited resource in hand.
