Why TSM New York City?

* What motivates you to join TSM?
Open-minded and optimistic, I enjoy working in a fast-paced start-up environment. Despite my social sciences background, I appreciate the fact that the TSM is graded as it gives me a chance to challenge myself in the technology landscape. Furthermore, working at Amazon has also sparked my interest in technology and entrepreneurship as the culture in those aspects are very strong. Passing the cloud practitioner examination also gave my affirmation and further passion about the level of development that is existing. I would like to truly learn from entrepreneurs and step out of my comfort zone to apply their spirit of creativity and spearhead my own innovation. In addition, I also applied for GII as I would be highly interested to work in one of the start ups in US, in order to learn from the management and the entire startup scene. Lastly, I believe that I would be able to find like-minded individuals from this TSM to collaborate and learn from each other
* Why pick New York City?
I've always heard, read and watched about New York, but never had the chance to go there. One of the greatest things about the businesses in NYC is that it is at the world's centre, where they have the best expertise and global level of excellence. From a business standpoint, being in the fast-paced NYC inspires aspiring entrepreneurs or businesses to stay nimble to trends, adapt and be open to innovation and global needs. I believe this exposure can give me the chance to learn from the different people from various walks of life, coming from numerous, vibrant backgrounds and experiences.

With a strong interest in technology and innovation, the fact that New York currently has a total of 6,300, with a growing rate of 30% in tech jobs is an exciting scene for me that I would like to be part of. In fact, 2 of my favourite start ups that I admire also originated from NYC - Reddit and WeWork, as I've worked at a coworking space before and it truly enabled me to appreciate such culture and innovation

Starting a business

* What types of business interest you? Working at Amazon sparked my interest in the technology scene. Thus, I would be highly interested in cloud services, IOT and AI/ML. With regards to the industry that I would like to apply these products in would be in the automobile or sustainable energy industry * What plan do you have in starting a business? Ever since automated driving existed, I've always been wondering about how parking spaces, and the way we park will change. Thus, I would be interested to work in this sector and explore this possibility of disrupting the automobile & its parking landscape.

•Co-created a pitch deck to revamp OBBO’s sales strategy, advised specific solutions to clients, boosting client acquisition by 60% in 3 weeks

•Analyzed carbon footprints of over 80 local companies to design a program prototype that provides bespoke corporate solutions to save over $7000 worth of savings per company
