Why TSM New York City?
American has been at the forefront of innovative technology for a few decades. There is something about the USA, whether there is a secret formula or maybe its policies. New York, next to Silicon Valley, has been the cities that bred the successful startups that we have seen in the news. My exposure to the tech scene in the USA has only been articles that I have read or stories I heard. I think being there to experience it myself is something I ought to do.
Starting a Business?
At this stage of my life, I am still considering whether to drive into an early-stage startup or start another business. There are several advantages in an early-stage startup; you get the thrill of a startup, but none of the attached stress (fundraising, hiring, lack of a life). If I were to start a business, HR is something that I have been eyeing for a few years; I see a possible vacuum of innovation in this space.
Past Experiences
What keeps me ticking
- Your best work is an hour away, and your worst work was a month ago.
- What you are saying and planning to do are just simply words coming out of your mouth. Results can only be seen after you do it, and some results will only materialize years later.
