Why TSM Silicon Valley

USA! USA! USA! USA!
I've always been intrigued by the American culture and patriotism, I've heard stories from my brother about how much they love their country and that no matter where you go in the US you'll definitely see an American flag flown high and proud. As such TSM Silicon Valley would be very experiential and a good cultural immersion experience. No other TSMs or BSMs can match up to this as we're going on an adventure to see the greatest giant of the technology and economy world!

THE TECHNOLOGY MECCA
Without a doubt, Silicon Valley is the technology Mecca. Any individual who deals with technology would had heard of or even been to this sacred place of technology worshipping. TSM Silicon Valley would be like a pilgrimage for any SIS student to the land of his future bread and butter to learn and to experience his modern religion. Social media, hardware, software, game development, search engines and E-commerce giants of the world are generally headquartered in the west of the United States and mostly in the Silicon Valley. Companies like Facebook, Google, Amazon, Google, Yahoo, Blizzard Entertainment, Valve Corporation, Electronic Arts ,....(The list goes on) fascinates me and are very much part of my life being an avid gamer and a technology junkie and hence TSM Silicon Valley would be the most relevant to me.

Internship Opportunities

WHAT TYPES OF INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES INTEREST YOU?

1. Game Development/Design - I've always been interested in this industry and hope to be able to get involved in it, being an avid gamer myself.
2. Social Media Companies - I'd like to learn and to see how such companies start up, develop into their success of today and function.
3. New Technology Startups - I am very much interested in new technology start ups especially hardware gadgets that make life more convenient and efficient.

ANY IDEAL FIRMS (BASED IN SILICON VALLEY) THAT YOU WISHES TO JOIN?

Firm	Reason
Electronic Arts	One of the most notable, game development and publishing companies situated in Silicon Valley. I want to work with Electronic Arts because they are no doubt one of the big game players in gaming industry. This is aligned with my interest to dive into the game development industry.
YouTube	I'd love to see how the biggest video sharing service on the internet function and how they continue to change and improve themselves to keep up with times.
Google	This is the dream of anyone in the IT world I believe. It is already an eye opener to just visit the facility at Silicon Valley what more intern there. But this is just a dream!

WHAT PLAN DO YOU HAVE IN STARTING A BUSINESS?
To begin I believe i have to learn and pick up some experience from the game development industry. In the long term future i see myself starting a small game development business locally creating games and developing more individuals in this field.

Past Experiences

DESCRIBE YOUR PAST EXPERIENCE (ENTREPRENEURSHIP, OR WORKS IN START UPS, ETC) I am currently in the planning and design phase of a mobile & web application with some of my IS friend to help host and inviting teams for local E-sports competitions. This app is to facilitate and to try and boost the E-Sports scene in Singapore and hopefully the SEA Region.
