Why TSM?

  • What motivates you to join TSM?
Hearing from seniors who have embarked on TSM in the past, I know that this experience has the ability to expose students like us to a different way of thinking about business and technology, by being able to meet and learn from some of the best minds and firms in the industry. I look forward to being immersed in the culture and ecosystem in SV and take away valuable learning points that can change my own local perspectives.
The study mission is the perfect opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs like myself to get an introduction to the startup scene in Silicon Valley, developing an understanding of the considerations, factors and ecosystem leading to a start-up, and what it takes to build and grow a successful technology company, along with being exposed to new and disruptive technology first-hand. In addition, I am excited to build relationships with the companies we visit by having the chance to hear from individuals from some of the largest and well-known companies in the world. This is also good opportunity to network with like-minded students who with the same passions.
  • Where would you like to visit?
Silicon Valley: PayPal HQ, Visa (Palo Alto), Stanford University, Intel Museum, Googleplex

Starting a Business

  • What types of business interest you?
Businesses in the financial services sector with innovative technology or novel business models that disrupt traditional banking systems.
  • What plans do you have in starting a business?
I aim to start a alternative financing/peer-to-peer lending company that explores new and disruptive ways using financial technology to create new products & services that redefines the way we borrow/lend our money.
