Hence, I would like to further explore and understand the entrepreneur ecosystem better. I believe that TSM will be able to provide me with the opportunity to learn about how entrepreneurs from different countries and culture build their solutions and client base. I like the idea that we will be able to interact directly with companies as compared to passive forms of learning (e.g. pure theory/lectures). I hope that through this module, I will be able to better understand the startup ecosystem and have more confidence venturing into the startup aspect. | |

Why TSM?
- What motivates you to join TSM?
Honestly, entrepreneurship has always been a daunting aspect for me. I could never wrap my head around how entrepreneurs put themselves and their ideas out there. However, after coming to SMU, I began to find it intriguing and interesting (since SMU highly encourage students to innovate their own ideas, e.g. Greenhouse). Hence, I would like to further explore and understand the entrepreneur ecosystem better. I believe that TSM will be able to provide me with the opportunity to learn about how entrepreneurs from different countries and culture build their solutions and client base. I like the idea that we will be able to interact directly with companies as compared to passive forms of learning (e.g. pure theory/lectures). Starting a business
- What types of business interest you?
Businesses that aim to improve the quality of life for people interest me the most. For example, Nutrition Technologies (manufacturing insect protein for animal feed, pet food, etc), VertiVegies, online learning platforms, etc.
- What plan do you have in starting a business?
As of now, I have yet to come up with a solid idea but I'm hoping that through more exposure and opportunities, I will be able to uncover some of the actual needs and challenges that the local population face & help to resolve them. (E.g. better solutions for graceful aging, ways to help tackle global warming, etc)

Although I have no prior experiences to startup, I am very open to learning new things and meeting new people. After all, isn't it best to start with a blank canvas? :-)
