Technopreneurship is the new breed of entrepreneurship. I am intrigued by how companies transform industries by harnessing the heft and capability of technology and commercializing new ideas. Getting such exposure to the entrepreneurship scene by immersing myself in the city is truly the best way to gain an understanding of the eco-system leading to start-ups. To be able to see successful people in the field and interact with them is really a phenomenal experience to learn what it takes to be a successful technopreneur.

I aspire to see how all these different industries can uniquely fit in the New York culture, also witnessing how entrepreneurship is accessible to anyone from any background, especially women. Unlike countries such as Silicon Valley, New York has managed to maintain a relatively healthy gender balance which can be difficult in this male-dominated industry. Being able to witness how the New York culture thrives in technopreneurship would be a dream come true for me.
