Why TSM Silicon Valley?
What motivates you to join TSM and choose Silicon Valley?
- I'm set out to pursue a global experience during my time in SMU. The global experience I'm looking for involves exchanges, overseas internship and study missions. I believe the TSM will help me gain a worldview on the issues surrounding us.
- In this era of automation and Artifical Intelligence, there isn't any destination more suitable than Silicon Valley. Personally, the concept of Silicon Valley is one that inspires many others to pursue their own dreams. I would like to be able to visit and experience the ecosystem and support that Silicon Valley provides.

- I'm more than willing to accept an overseas internship opportunity in Silicon Valley.
Starting a business
- What types of business interest you?
I'm really interested in businesses that work on a P2P/B2B model that connects buyers and sellers together in a common marketplace. Such business models are unique in the sense that they seem to create a new linkage between two different groups of people. And such businesses have interesting monetization models that go beyond the surface.
- What plan do you have in starting a business?
Right now, I always constantly on the lookout for opportunities or gaps in the market. While doing so, I intend to take up several more internships to learn more about how small businesses work and how to scale rapidly. I will also be taking entrepreneurship related mods
Past Experiences
Entrepreneurship
I was with The Marketplace Ministry as sales outreach. The Marketplace Ministry is a graphic design social enterprise that empowers local designs to sell their own designs and crafts.
I did an internship with 99.co over summer. 99.co is a property portal in Singapore. I worked alongside the Marketing Head. During my stint, I was placed in charge of organising a soft-launch party as well as a product launch event. Besides the events, I am also responsible for creating and sending EDMs and in-app notifications blast to all of our 20000 property agents.
I also own a business with a partner as a means of supporting ourselves through university. NOWN (UEN: 53330040A) is a registered online-based reselling business. Most of the business operations including marketing, management. logistics branding, product photography, sourcing, are all completed in-house by the two co-founders.
External Endeavours
I managed to reach the final round of the 'Adecco CEO for One Month Challenge' - The finalist will get to work under the direct supervision and mentorship of CEO Adecco Singapore.
What keeps you ticking?
Photography I would say I'm pretty good at photography.
