Ang Jui Ping	Management of real-time information in an integrated system, complete with resolution tools can be very efficient.	Common misconceptions for the VR industry such as violence encouragement and introversion, and technical challenges makes VR more challenging then it seems	Passion is useful in achieving within your field of work and so is having a supportive/engaging community.
Benedict Wee Yu Rui	Topis is like the “LTA of Singapore”. A quote from Mr Yung i learn is that “When you make a product, try to make it universal that can be in multiple countries and multiple systems”	VentaVR who target B2C has over 10 million youtubers on their self-developing contents. What make them so special is that they uses stereoscoping in VR which give them a competitive edge over their rivals. A quote which inspire me is his passion for VR as he stated “Before i start my company, i want to prove that VR can make it more real and dynamic.	BeSucess A quote i learned is that “Though anybody can be a startup investor, there is no way for domestic startups and investors to meet shorter and faster” and it is amazing how they hosted the number 1 tech asia in Korea FabLab It was started by a professor in MIT with labs all over the world and some quotes i learned is that “Communication is very important if you want to deliver something to others” and “Making it on your own enables you to have endless options” which make it so interesting that his passion and love to create a community of people as a solution to give them opportunities to access to digital fabrication as their vision of “Think it, Make it, Share it”.
Bryan Lian Junquan	It was an eye opener experience for me, to see the system collects and analyses data using imaging algorithms to detect anomalies. However, I do believe that these huge set of data can be better utilised by sharing them with other government agencies.	This was my first time experiencing VR and I must say that it is good and there is a lot of potential for these, however I wished that we can experience how VR content are being created.	BeSuccess To me, beSuccess seems like a mini Techinasia, promoting and providing startups with the possibility of more networking opportunities, even though it may not be so profitable but I was able to see the passion in wanting to help these startups. FabLab Passion is what I felt from Rodrigo’ sharing, I hope I can be like him to continually solve real life issues and problems without always considering the monetary value of it.
Chua Weilun	Technology is a true solution when its system can be shared universally to solve problems that occur in different environment and situation.	Sometimes even with the greatest of idea and skills, investments and funding is still vital to the expansion of the business.	With a passion to empower people with knowledge and skills, Fablab aims to show others that with the ability to solve and create any solution, you become part of the solution.
Dawn Tan Sze Hui	- monitors & controls all of seoul's traffic - Able to disseminate traffic info on various platforms including road boards, apps, TV - Key takeaway: Try to integrate instead of using isolated systems or using many open source apis such that it is universal and available	- Gaming has the biggest potential and they are looking to tap on that market - Diversify to try out different markets, also insufficient funding to specialize in one - Key takeaway: very expensive and specialised	Company: BeSuccess - support Asian and Korean founders - Key takeaway: Allow startups to be exposed globally on media, Hard for startups to meet up with investors Company: FabLab - Library for materials, manufacturing equipment - Cheap & affordable - Key takeaway: Becoming the solution with your invention/fixes, Fablab's vision is just to bring manufacturing to the masses. I was especially impressed by the presenter’s passion and drive for joining fablab instead of staying at his previous corporate job.
Goh Gui Xiang Wendy	Implement a software that can be universe e.g. ezlink in Korea cannot be used in Singapore despite being the same system.	VR can allow us to experience how it is like to be a dementia patient.	"you do not know it's stupid or great till you try" and "be part of the solution instead of the problem"
Goh Teo Wee Gavin	To be able to translate so much information into useful decisions is commendable.	The experience, even if short, provided to users are very different from what they have been through so far, which will create the hunger for them to want more.	The idea of growing a community in FabLab to encourage people to create your own quality content (products - e.g. furniture) goes a long way towards environment sustainability.
Jason Koh Xue Quan	Topis readily seeks to see how to improve on their current system. Learning point: always seek to improve.	Ventavr is strategically placed around other VR related companies. Learning point: it is important to make the right connections.	Besuccess: Conferences are an important avenue for startups to showcase their products/services. Learning Point: Conferences are good for exposure. Fablab: Sometimes building the community is more important than making profits. Learning point: Community is just as important.
Jerome Lek Guan Hong	Traffic management is a tough job, that TOPIS has harnesses well through the use of technology. Furthermore, with an excellent global product, it would allow a company to export it to various countries, who seek a solution as comprehensive as their system.	VR is a growing industry, which VentaVR expects to grow through new breakthrough products such as VR concerts. It is vital as a tech startup to understand new technologies, to be at the forefront of them and develop solutions which better targets the current business and consumer markets.	beSuccess Language barriers can be prevalent in countries such as Korea or Japan, and the beSuccess platform is expected to help negate the issues. It is vital that as a startup, one should be aware of both the domestic and global opportunities, so as to not miss out on them, despite the language barriers. FabLab “You have to be open minded because you will never know where you end up”. The entrepreneur’s life may have nothing to do with whatever you may be studying in school, but one should be open minded to accept the various circumstances in the journey, and accept the failures along the way as well.

Jonathan Chua Yi Xian	I learnt that the backend operations of traffic surveillance are highly intricate and the advanced technologies of tracking traffic speed and volume are astounding.	The applications of virtual reality can be used in various industries but the success is uncertain due to the adoption rate by consumers.	The focus on community instead of profit was inspiring, and the passion of an entrepreneur is important for success.
Kay Zong Wei	Personally, I feel that this is more of an eye-opening experience than a startup experience. We get to see about the control room of traffic conditions in Korea, and the basic controls that they are able to perform. Definitely one of the better visits we made that increase our exposure	VR is something I have never stepped into, and visiting venta allows me to know more about VR, especially the large amount of work required to produce a small amount of content.	Another of my favourite. The FabLab manager is SO SO passionate in the things he do that he felt like a preacher of his “religion”, aka his work. Even if his university major is not in this, he dive deep into this career and manage to do a good job in his field. Very motivation for people who wanna pursue his own passion.
Kelvin Poh Kian Lim	Integration of system a key important factor in an organization, example in this company visit I understand how one organization collects their data through various data point then filter/clean the data then do the analyzing of data to find insight that could improve the life of the citizens.	Today best takeaway is that i can get, is that one must always revamp their business model to adapt to the current market condition. Lastly is the that i notice that most important point that i learn from all the startups visit is actually the courage to take the first step because back in SIngapore most of my friends has lot of idea but then none of them has the courage to venture out and end up going into a full time job, lastly will be the important of one passion and the resistant to withstand obstacle along the startup journey.	Even with the smallest business idea, can dominate/penetrate the biggest market. The important factor for one startup to manage is to build a sustainable business model. Lastly from the companies visit today, i realise most of the startup founder mention that the team dynamic is very important searching for the correct source of people is always the most difficult thing to do.
Kovan Chan Jie Hong	Seoul Topis - It was indeed an eye opening experience, to have seen the advanced technology that seoul is already adopting in their transportation sector. One key takeaway would be to constantly improve upon your idea as there bounds to be more advanced solution that have not been discovered yet.	Venta VR - It is proven that VentaVR produces quality contents as seen from their collaboration with samsung. But this would not have been possible if not for the CEO’s vision and resilience to tap into the corporate industries (when taking into consideration the high production costs)	FabLab and beSuccess - Rodrigo left me with an impactful quote, when he mentioned that whatever we do, we should always aim to “Empower people through our knowledge”. The selfless nature of the company has taught me to be more humble, and focus on providing a solution to an existing problem.
Lam Wan Ting	TOPIS is a really cool place as we got a chance to really see how Korea’s version of ‘LTA’ worked behind the scenes, through the use of technology to help automate and manage traffics in real-time - which was something that even the locals do not know about.	VentaVR is one of the rare few professional 3D VR content producing company in Korea - Through the visit, I gained more insights on the future possibilities of VR on smartphones and the market.	The Fablab host is a really passionate guy about his job - he believes that one should never teach a person to do something, but rather, it is better just show the person the possibilities that he/she can do, and allow he/she to self explore and learn the skill himself.
Lee Kuan Yong	Topis: Many things that Singapore can learn, as there are advanced technology like speed detection camera on buses which Singapore lacks.	Venta VR: Content and funding are highly critical as basically without good funding, they are unable to produce breakthrough content.	BeSuccess: Contribute to community by building bridging and connecting various startups together so as to provide support for founders and investors. Fab Lab: Most lasting impression from their quote: When you know how to make things, you become the solution, not the problem.
Lee Teck Hui	Shared system: Topis shared their system with police so that when accidents happened, police are aware of it.	Being diverse is a strategy to find startup’s niche: VentaVR produce varieties of content such as education, tourist attraction, entertainment and dating (DreamDate VR), and realise that dating is a hit with 10 million views.	“If you don’t know about fabrication and analyse problem is like you don’t know English.”
Loo Qi Xuan Ryan Elyas	A fairly good alternative to Singapore’s upcoming “eye-in-the-sky” satellite system, but I’m not sure I’m ready for that kind of surveillance yet	Strange but interesting to see the sheer range of VR content that a single start-up has created, hope it can focus and improve on a single genre once VR matures	I love the hardware side of things a lot, great to see a company offer such useful services to the public at low costs
Mak Kar Kit	Seoul Topis - The concept applied by Topis is quite useful for the Singaporean government to give better bus estimates and also plan more optimized routes in the future.	VentaVR - Finding the right investors is also important when you are able to provide the service/product.	BeSuccess, FabLab - BeSuccess is very similar to Seoul Global Startup Center. FabLab inspires people to think differently but somehow also reinforces the idea of buying things that you cannot 3D print yourself.

Pek Caimao Jeremy	Seoul Topis - very cool control center in a bunker, they have interest technologies that I think Singapore can possibly implement it as well, eg. the illegal parking system, accident notification system.	VentaVR - depend largely on the content they decide to create, eg. Dream dating, A very new field where they are not much competition and other companies want this kind of content too.	beSuccess - the Korean version of techinasia where they introduce and advertise startups to the community, angel investors, venture capitalist and people who wants to join them as employees. FabLab - incredibly passionate about their mission and vision, not money driven which is very rare and inspirational, teaches and allows anyone to become a maker and solution which changes how things work.
Ranon Sim Wen Yang	Innovation of ideas coupled with a curious mind is important to solve big problems.	VR content is a fledgling market and the success of the VR business depends on factors such as killer content and the spread of VR devices	The story behind the CEO’s company i.e. setting it up to inspire people and entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into new products and prototypes is truly inspiring and a noble idea to adopt.
Royce Junior Tan San Ye	It was interesting seeing how Seoul manages their traffic - the computers were very impressive, just like in the movies where they control main parts of the city	The VR video that was used as an example to show us their work was really realistic, I can really see the implications it might have for gaming.	It was interesting to see how BeSuccess created a marketplace for VCs to invest in start-ups. For FabLab, I could really see the enthusiasm of Rodrigo in helping people create the product that they’ve always dreamed of.
Russell Yap Song Chen	Great showcase of how a smart nation could possibly look like! Very cool and useful!	Technology is cool but the company seems to lack drive in pushing their product to the market.	The dream of creating a world where everyone is a creator is very inspirational, one where everyone is part of the solution not the problem.
Sally CHIN Si Ying	It was really interesting to see how the government leverages on the power of technology, social media, and analytics for traffic observation and solutions, as I never knew that the government would be doing such things behind the scenes. Now I know that big brother is watching everywhere.	I never understood how any company could monetize VR technologies, and VentaVR helped me open my eyes that VR could actually make money, although the cost of producing the content is extremely costly.	Once you learn how to make anything, you become part of the solution. You become a prosumer, you know how to create the solution. You learn how to produce and consume at the same time.
Sebastian Hadinata	Information plays a big part in transportation industry where we can use data to perform both reactive and predictive actions to improve the safety and efficiency	“When one type of industry does not work well, be flexible, do not give up and find other potential industry.”	BeSuccess “We want to add value to the Korean startup community so that we can support them to find global business opportunities.” FabLab “Education will be the future where we teach someone how to create things rather than buying them”
Sim Mong Khim Jared	TOPIS is great for those interested in developing smart city solutions, e.g. use buses to catch illegally parked cars.	It still too early to tell if VR will catch on and VentaVR's content may not be very popular.	FabLab has an infectious goal to build a community of makers that has made me want to build my own things. beSuccess seems like it could do the same for Korea what TechInAsia has done for south east Asia.
Soh Han Cherng Stanley	Data analytics is an important tool in providing more effective and efficient services.	Funding is very important to propel future success for a startup.	Fab Lab Building a community can be a more effective way of solving problems. “Be the solution, not the problem.” beSuccess Asia needs a lot of platform for startups.
Tan Jie Sheng	Seoul Topis - A comprehensive monitoring system is crucial to the smooth functioning of a city’s transportation system	Venta VR - Game industry will be the industry that will benefit the most from VR	FabLab - Be a solver and be passionate about what you do
Tan Lay Ting	Not only does IoT enable traffic monitoring and development of Seoul, it also makes Seoul a more secure place.	People might not be receptive to new technologies, but time is able to solve this issue.	beSUCCESS Networking is important, especially for startups, as it helps them to acquire the necessary resources to expand FABLAB “Better to do it than to just buy it” - Using resources smartly as there is only one earth.
Tan Si Ying	It was an insightful visit to Seoul TOPIS how they are tapped on technology to gain realtime updates. It made me reflect on how we can utilise these in Singapore and what can we done to improvise our technology with regards to traffic.	Disruptive technology breaks the market every now and then, but it's more important to know how you can utilise it and transform it into a profitable business. Venta VR taps on VR technology to enhance user experience, with future plans to have live streaming purposes during a concert, which would allow users to watch beyond their confined space.	be SUCCESS Growth is essential for a startup, albeit financial numbers or consumer base. With global exposure and recognition, companies would be able to stretch their potential further. And be SUCCESS would be a great helping hand to these companies. FAB LAB “Always be open minded as you never know what opportunities you can end up having”, “We don't teach the students what they can learn, we show them what they can do”. Giving students the opportunity for creativity can at times reap great rewards. Fab lab provides a place where creativity isn’t limited, allowing them to develop their own ideas and bring them to greater heights.
Tay Ren Ann Andrew	TOPIS appears to leverage open/universal standards so they can easily sell their product. This is great as there is a chance they’ll contribute back to the open source community.	The tent pole feature of the company is their stereoscopic snitching of multiple photos together within the VR environment.	beSuccess A start-up company that adds value to other startup companies through various channels such as connecting them with business entities like other start ups or MNCs FabLab “We don’t push kids to learn. Tay Wei Rong	A Smart City Solution that gave me an eye-opening experience to how the processes and devices improve the traffic and traffic rules in Seoul.	The content that Venta VR creates can be used in any industries but the only limitation is consumers’ adoption rate towards VR.	BeSuccess created a marketplace for VCs to invest for start-ups this was quite an impress task to accomplish. As for FabLab, the most important takeaway is when Rodrigo Diaz said “he doesn’t push us to learn but he shows us how it is done and we will have solved our own problem this will increase our learning process”
