Why TSM South Korea?
- What motivates you to join TSM?
All the classes I have taken since Year 1 were held in Singapore locally. I have always wanted to find out how is it like to study a foreign company in a foreign country. The experience will broaden my global horizon and give me a new perspective on how IT companies operate.
- Why pick South Korea?
South Korea is one of the countries where Technology advances at an amazing speed. Companies like Samsung are known for their rapid innovation. On top of this, it has always been the country I wanted to visit.
Internship Opportunities
- What types of internship opportunities interest you?
I am open to all sorts of opportunities because one thing that I keep telling myself is that I should not limit myself. A startup company is able to give me as much as an established corporation. As a student in the process of figuring out what kind of job interests me the most, I do believe that all these opportunities can bring me one step closer to the answer. With that said, the roles that I am interested in for now are Business analyst, Data analyst and Software engineer.

As a lover of Apple products, I have always been very interested in how Samsung innovates to keep up with or even win over Apple. They have done a really good job breaking the industry standard set by Apple and coming up with new generations each targeting at a specific set of customers.

- What plan do you have in starting a business?
I aim to start a logistics company 5 years after I graduate. The company should focus on international transportation and be enabled and optimized by IT solution.
Past Experiences
- Worked with ABI Research to conduct massive Data Research in the mobile LTE industry. Responsible for maintaining database.
- Interned with SPH last summer and carried out a Social Network Project, focusing on bring the employees of Finance department closer through the implementation of IT systems.
