Further Analysis of Revenue Generation in Relation to Dance Genre (Package)
Investigating further as to why 06 Weeks (Full-Course) has reduced in frequency yet being the 2rd highest revenue in 2014-2015 as compared to 2010-2012, we drilled down to the packages (genre) composition for these periods using the purchases data
Thus, we see that in the 06 Weeks (Full Course), there has been an increase in number of Kids course as compared to previous years, namely Kpop (Kids) and Hiphop (Kids), Thus, this is likely why 06 Weeks Course is better revenue generating per package bought as Natasha Studio prices its Kids course higher than its other courses. Natasha should consider to continue such Kids course to increase revenue. The drop in frequency could be attributable to the fact that members preferred dance genre such like Hiphop and Street Jazz, which constitutes majority of the open classes as in Figure 23 below. While Hiphop is still popular as a course, members are likely to drawn more to unlimited and open class packages, which offers more flexibility to explore and develop their interest in the particular dance style.
Cross Tables
Using Tableau, we also derived several cross-tables with members being a unique variables. Using the purchases data, we derived a cross-table between member and price packages. Using the attendance data, we derived two cross-tables – 1) members and genres 2) members and course/open & level.
