TAKE HOME 2: National Communicable Disease Quarantine Centre - Gombak
Analytical Hierarchical Process input matrix
The order of importance between the factors is as follows: Health (Most Important), Accessibility, Natural Conservation, Economic (Least Important). The rationale for putting health factor as most the important factor is because I felt that preventing spread of contagious diseases should be always the top priority when building such a facility center. Making a mistake on finding a suitable location of a disease quarantine centre or shortchanging this particular factor for other considering factors (i.e. cost), would negatively affect the health and well-being of people within the population, should there be an unfortunate case of “outbreak”/spread of diseases that originates from the quarantine centre. The finalized weights of each factor are as follows (Highest to Lowest):
- Health Factor – 55.8%
- Accessibility Factor – 26.3%
- Natural Conservation Factor – 12.2%
- Economic Factor – 5.7%
