EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Abstract – In this study, we analyze the phenomenon of crimes against women in India. In recent years, the incidence of violence against women has risen even as India experiences rising affluence and development. We conducted time-series and state-level analysis on the incidence of crimes against women, and explored possible relationships between various socioeconomic factors and the different crime types. Our final product is an interactive visualisation tool which users can navigate to derive insights on the issue of crimes against women in India.
