Conclusion

• Being a Visual Detective, I have seen a noticeable increase in trend for Chemicals - AOX, Methylosmoline, Arsenic and other measures like Total Hardness and Total Extractable Matter.

• In general, The areas which have very high values of measures are locations near Kohsoom, Boonsri which are interestingly near to the dumping site and other major location of concern is Tansanee. This is purley based on the given data, but with more data with proper readings is required to prove these anomalies.

• From the insights, it is very evident that the Hydrology Department is not collecting enough data to understand the chemical contamination in the Boonsong Wildlife Preserve.

• Number of chemical readings are not consistent over years for many chemical measures, this poses a huge obstruction in analyzing the trend of chemicals.

• Chemical readings are not taken in all Locations, so we cannot give a meaningful result about the increase or decrease in the value because it could be biased.

• The suggestion I would make for the Hydrology Department is - it is very important to introduce Water Quality Monitoring for environmental protection, managing waterways and identifying pollution events.

• Monitoring consists of making observations and taking measurements that are analysed and reported to provide information and knowledge about waterways. It is good to revisit the monitoring planning structure mainly in terms of sampling chemical data – frequency of collection and the site of collection.
