Overview

Since the infection symptoms transmitted mainly by Airborne and Waterborne. And it outbreak place was in the downtown. There are lots of emergency control to avoid the future transmission. The major emergency management is to deploy the treatment resources in the outbreak places, like downtown. And also deploy the treatment resources in the areas which already many people affected by the infection. The distribution should seemed as the distribution in Figure 10.

In the downtown, there should deployed more treatment resources to control because the infections transmission were not well contained, due to it was the major affected area. Then deployed the second level of the treatment resources in the affected areas which marked in yellow square in the Figure 9, such as corner town, Eastside, Southvills and so on.

After controlled the waterborne and airborne, and resolved the infections in the affected areas. It seemed that none(less) treatment resources needed in those areas which were outside the affected area.

Waterborne Control

From the Figure 5, the infections which transmitted by waterborne could be controlled if the water from the headstream treated as clean water.

There are several ways to control the waterborne.

Cleaning the water from Headstream

From the Figure 5, it showed the headstream of the infections was from the area near bridge 610. Sending the sample of the water to test authority check, and then find the way how to solve the infections in the headstream.

Telling the Residents Don't drink untreated water

Whether you're traveling or you're just going on a hike outside of your home, drinking from an open water source is never advisable, as this can expose you to a range of potentially harmful health problems. Especially for those people who lived in the Smogtown. Instead, if residents thirsty and need water, suggested only drink substances that have been through an ultraviolet light water purification system. These devices can remove viruses that may be transmitted through water and ensure that you stay protected no matter where you may be.

Avoid eating raw foods

This is an especially essential bit of guidance in the Smogtown. Foods, including vegetables, raw meat, shellfish and raw fruits, may have been exposed to contaminated water. The government recommends being vigilant by avoiding dishes that may feature any of these items.

Airborne Control

Personal Manner

Although it’s impossible to completely avoid airborne pathogens, there are some things you can do to lower your chances of getting sick:

  • Avoid close contact with people who have active symptoms of disease.
  • Stay home when you’re sick. Don’t let vulnerable people come in close contact with you.
  • If you must be around others, wear a face mask to prevent spreading or breathing in germs.
  • Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze. Use a tissue or your elbow to cut down on the possibility of transmitting germs on your hands.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly (at least 20 seconds) and often, especially after sneezing or coughing.
  • Avoid touching your face or other people with unwashed hands.

In the outside affected areas, the residents need to leave away from those affected crowded areas helping to lower the transmission rates of some of airborne infections.

Injection Vaccines Treatment

Vaccines can reduce your chances of getting some airborne diseases. Vaccines also lower the risk for others in the community. Airborne diseases that have vaccines include:

  • chickenpox
  • diphtheria
  • influenza: vaccine updated every year to include strains most likely to spread in the coming season
  • measles: usually combined with vaccine for mumps and rubella, and is known as the MMR vaccine
  • mumps: MMR vaccine
  • TB: not generally recommended in the United States
  • whooping cough

Affected Areas Treatment

Control the Crowded Areas

The infections spread easily in close quarters, such as schools and nursing homes. Large outbreaks tend to occur under crowded conditions and in places where hygiene and sanitation systems are poor. So in the crowded area, make sure the ventilation is good by opening the windows and by using the equipment. Also, in order to prevent the infections transmission, the emergency management should send the right people to do the cleaning of the public areas, such as toilets, lifts and so on. There are several other ways to control the infections.

  • In each street, setting one treatment station
  • In each crowded building, providing the hygiene services
  • In each train and bus station, locating one treatment resource(nurse)

Trend of the symptoms

It displayed the trends of the symptoms in the Figure 11. The major of the symptoms were decreasing from 19th May to 20th May except flu and chill. It reflected that the major of the infections decreased, then under the emergency management, it should be decreased soon.
