Feedback

All your valuable feedback!

Sandhyavr.2016 (talk)Brilliant visualizations, especially the dynamic ones. Separately analyzing each car type is well done. Probably for future work, tracking behavior based on gate sequence, and card IDs can be implemented. Otherwise, great work.

Mandi.luo.2016 (talk)Great job! Probably for future work, you can fix the range of the axes in your dashboards since the width and height of "Lekagul Roadways.bmp" are 200 pixels. : )

Priyadarshi.2016 (talk) Thanks Sandhya and Mandi for your valuable comments. @Mandi, I will try and fix my axis. It got skewed because of the dashboard. @Sandhya yes there is a gate sequence. I guess I should put my dashboard up that contains it.

Rogers.2016 (talk) : Hi Priya!! Interesting visuals. The gif format helped me to understand the movement of the vehicles and the usual patterns. I felt more story could be uncovered by calculating the time spent in each locations. You would get interesting stories and hypothesis based on the amount of time they have spent at each and every spot. The path movements does give interesting patterns but there are possibilities that the vehicle might be parked at a particular location and the individual would have roamed to nearby spots. These information can be uncovered using time spent at different locations.

Priyadarshi.2016 (talk) Thanks Roger for the comments. I believe so. I didn't spend much time on understanding the time spent. But it definitely could be a future work

Anuthamam.2016 (talk) : You have done a in depth analysis of the paths and found some very different insights. Especially the one on how some gates are not connected but cars have gone there and how that was possible.Needless to say they dynamic maps were a sight and helped to understand patterns. Something that I have interpreted differently is path through the ranger stop 0 and 2. I would assume that is the only path the visitors have to move from the East to West of the Path since the other pathway goes through gates[ through gate 6 and 5]. So more like lack of option rather than an interesting site. The newly added dashboards help streamline the paths analysis which is great for the user. Good added feature.

Changes Refferred to

So Couple of changes have been made based on feedback.

  • Added the dashboard information to these pages. Also did a gif to show how it works. the dashboard contains a travel order graph as mentioned by Sandhya above. This will show individual paths traversed by car-IDs
  • Added in a feedback section. It was horrble that individual pages have a feedback section. So I congregated all to this feedback section. Thanks to Sumalika for the idea.
  • Although I haven't added but 4 axel Trucks could also be tresspassing. It's an interesting insight derived from Anuthama.
