Hi Dipti,

1.As good as the use of calender heatmap is for the analysis, i believe that if you use a gradient coloring instead of two different colours the analysis would be much easier to read and understand without having to look at the legend.

2. For the analysis of the factories, more examples or a comprehensive list of observations regarding the impact of the factories would be useful

Hope this helps and keep up the good work!

Regards, Krutika

Hi Dipti,

Thank you for giving me opportunity to feedback on your work:

Here are a few points from my end:

  • Question 3 - The dashboard used to communicate the factories responsible for high readings seems to miss out on the chemicals data. It will be good to incorporate chemicals themselves to make the end user visualize which chemical specifically has had a high reading at a given point in time.
  • Question 2 - The reference (avg values) line for each of the chemical reading against its corresponding x-axis time field helps to visualize the readings clearly and communicate whether they are above the avg line or below the avg line at a given hour/day.
  • Question 1 - The analysis of sensors via a calendar map has helped to communicate the sensors' maintenance/no function periods, however other factors such as wind influence and sensor distance from the factories can be considered to give more insights on the performance of sensors as a whole.

Overall, the analysis looks good barring few visualizations that could have been strengthened by incorporating a few more variables(such as chemical for q3; wind/distance for q1). This analysis can clearly give Mitch and other environmentalists a good start for advocating and initiating further investigations for their case.

Once again, thank you for giving me the opportunity to provide feedback.

Cheers
