Data Preperation

The following datasets are available for your use. They have been zipped and uploaded into the dropbox of e-learn.

  1. DinoFunWorld_CommData.zip consist of in-app communication data over the three days of the Scott Jones celebration.
  2. DinoFunWorld_MoveData.zip consists of three days park movement data. The park movement datasets are in csv format.
  3. DinoFunWorld_LayoutMap.zip consists of a jpg file.
  4. DinoFunWorld_Website.zip consists of webpages of DinoFun World Park.

Approach

The assignment is about the communication pattern between the people who visited the DinoPark on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So, we will take the communication data and load that in the JMP pro, below are the steps that I followed -

  1. As we are using the Gephi we need to convert the column names, we converted From to Source and To to Target
  2. A new column TYPE is created and hard coded with Directed.
  3. Table summary in JMP Pro is used to group by the columns and other functions of JMP is used to calculate the Time Spend and Distance covered by a particular ID in the park.
