The beginning

Having myself involved in many Community service projects in SMU amplifies my student life vibrantly. But think about it, being a SIS student gives us even more advantage in participating in community services with the edge of top notch technology. With the increasing numbers of people engaging in social media and mobile application, it is most feasible for us to jump on the bandwagon and creating this world full of giving. After hearing inspiring stories from Masami Sato (Founder of B1G1), I’ve the same sentiments and direction with the team in making it happen!

We may face many difficulties in learning, but this is what technology is about. Learning is limitless, and there’s no shortcut to it. There are many concerns regarding this project, certainly, unknown obstacles. In my opinion; I’ve put all these obstacles away, instead, take this as an opportunity and think in the positive way. Most importantly, be passionate to both the business operation (charity) and the development of the project. I believed that my diversified background in both designing and coding is substantial in leveraging the values of the project. Lastly, I’ve a team of IS comrades who I can trust and passionate in working with.

Every project constitutes another chapter of learning in our lives. Project management, development skills, adaptability skills, business skills, etc... all these are just the basic answers to that question. But this time round, my biggest take away should come from the recognition globally. I want to see how an application changes the world. Giving my best to see how much different can a team of 5 SIS students make in beautifying culture of giving.
