Our application titled, Listen UP, will be a game where users will be given a specific word which he/she has to voice record the clues and hints within an allotted time frame for the opposing party to guess. Users are discouraged from saying a list of ‘taboo-ed’ words. Although there will be no way of completely preventing this form of cheating, we believe that the excitement of playing the game right with friends will be enough to deter users from cheating.
Points will be given to both the user guessing and giving the hints when the guess is successful. Users can trade in points for incentives such as extra recording time and lesser taboo words. Eligible for user experience award |

This project addresses the need to gather user sentiment on various competitive banking products and promotion. The sentiment analysis will give SCB a competitive edge over its competitors. Sentiment analysis also serves as a valuable feedback to the management on how they can improve their products and better position themselves. This is achieved by harnessing the power of social media to get a "feel" of how their products are doing. In addition, SCB can use the application to find out on the existing relevant and popular topics in discussions so as keep the company updated. This project also serves as a means to retain customers through Customer Relationship Management (CRM) as research from MarketingFind has shown that it is 10 times more difficult to retain customers than to create new ones. |

Chapalang – This project aims to redefine and improve the usage of forums by redesigning how conventional forums organize their discussion posts. We will demonstrate this by showing how typical discussion can take place in our new design and layout, together with an e-commerce function that will utilize the new discussion board as a platform for sales and advertisement.
The portal functions are modeled after the functions of a typical forum, where people can come together and discuss various topics, ranging from the products that are being sold to current affairs just for general discussions. In turn, the products sold will be wide and varied, provided from multiple suppliers and not just one. We hope to model an Internet marketplace, and actually already have suppliers contacted who are willing to participate in this project, should it be approved. Eligible for social media award |

We are planning to build a web-app that aims to ease the process of booking venues for events. We plan to do so by creating a trusted community of people who own venues (like hotels or function halls) and people who are looking to hold events (like parties or weddings). Our group feels that this project is feasible as firstly, this can allow people to rent out their venues effortlessly. The owner would just have to post photos and information about the venue and the listing can be seen by everyone in the community. On the other hand, it serves as an one-stop platform for people who are searching for a venue to host events. They can easily find a venue of their liking by going through the listings in the community. Also, it could improve productivity and efficiency for companies, especially events company. Now instead of relying on in house procurement team to search for venue, events company can use our web-app to view all the venues and filter the listings according to their requirements. |

Hence, our team will be developing iOS application that provides users with an interactive interface, attention grabbing survey modules and attractive credit exchanges. |

Gralch – Mobile Game on the Google Play Store. The game builds on a storyline involving the life of a monster character known as Gralch.
The game is divided into two main worlds, with four stages in each world depicting various points in Gralch’s life. Within each stage, there are varying levels of difficulty for each game play (level 1 up to level N). Credits are earned at the completion of each level. Additionally, players can create and send challenge requests (require trading in credits) to friends when Gralch evolves into an adult. The gameplay is consistent through all levels, which relies on a player’s quick thinking capabilities, accuracy and precision. The generic sense of the game involves controlling Gralch and defending itself from enemies to achieve the end objective of each level. Obstacles and variations within the stages make it both challenging and stimulating for the player, akin to a puzzle/strategy/arcade game. UkuqalaAcceptance Part 1 |
ESPN Star Sports, Asia's biggest sports broadcaster has teamed up with Ukuqala to build a Competition Engine for advertisers hosted on ESPN Star Sports website and mobile website. For years the process of manually creating and hosting competition forms by advertisers by ESS administrators have been long and tedious. The Competition Engine by team Ukuqala is intended to provide a tool for advertisers to create and manage their competition forms. The application will also be integrated into Social Media platforms such as FaceBook to reach out to a wider audience. Additionally, the application will track user's data and enable the analysis of user's profile and usage patterns to allow advertisers to tweak their advertisements to capture a wider audience.
The Competition Engine will contain a competition generation interface that allow advertisers to design their competition forms in compliance to ESPN's standards. The interface will host features such as the placement of pictures on different competition form templates that can be hosted on the website, creation of competition forms for the public to interact, management of the forms and preview of their forms. Competition forms will then be automatically hosted on ESPN's website and mobile website once the advertisers submit it. Additionally, the advertisements will also be integrated with ESPN's FaceBook page to build up the advertisers online presence while allowing greater user interactivity. Analytics tools will also be integrated into the system to allow the advertisers and ESS administrators to analyze and track user usage patterns. |

This project aims to build an e-commerce web application that allows users to create their personalized 3-D avatar from a 2-D photograph. This innovation creates a brand new shopping experience where users can try on and visualize various hairstyles and apparels before making a purchase.
The online shopping experience will be enhanced by the implementation of Metro design - a neatly designed layout with simplified gestures and transitions that will guide the users deeper into content. This web application will also implement analytic tool that will match users' facial features and preferences with the available products and creates suggestive recommendation to ease users in making decision. In addition, users will be able to interact with one another through the customized social network of this web application. |

SMU iOS app The objective of this project is to allow SMU iOS users to gain access to essential functionalities of SMU administrative and academic services. Since there is a tremendous increase in mobile adoption, Macness would like to enhance our current application by expanding the feature set of the application. By allowing the students to interface through an application, they will be able to embrace mobility at any point of time, without needing to access to their computers. |

Inventory Management System: The current purchasing and rental process in Achievers Plus is mostly manual and repetitive. We will create an inventory management system to automate and streamline the whole process, for both the company and customers, to make purchasing and renting of graduation gowns more efficient and productive. 3D Web Design of Graduation Ring: The future direction of the company is to introduce graduation rings to Polytechnics graduates. The current process from ring designing to customers receiving the ring takes almost a month. Through this web design, we hope to shorten the process time and allow customers to be more involved in designing and customising their own graduation rings. Achievers Plus Website: Revamp the website and include additional functions from Inventory Management System and 3D design of graduation rings. |

Mobiplore would like a less intrusive method to perform data analysis of patients with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. As such, Team ElderLove will be building a social networking application that these patients, as well as their doctors and direct family members will use. Different types of data generated from the patient’s usage of the functions in the application will be collected and presented to the doctor-in-charge ready for analysis. Functions in the application are carefully thought out to enable strategic data analysis that will allude to the user’s behavior and thus, overall well-being. This application not only strives to connect socially isolated patients, but also acts as a background monitoring tool that provides information about the behavior of the patient that may otherwise be unknown. |

The team aims to develop an android-based mobile application for consumers to enjoy targeted discount coupon based on their purchasing behavior in a shopping mall. This is an initiative by the Living Analytics Research Centre (LARC) to analyze customers’ demographics and psychographics to enhance shoppers’ retail experience. The mobile application will update shoppers about promotions in the mall dynamically. In addition, it will allow shoppers to navigate around the mall using an indoor positioning system (IPS). Using Facebook integration, shoppers can check out their friends’ shopping history. Shoppers can also transfer their transactions to shop retailers via near field communication technology. |

Empact Matching System & Mobile App Empact is a social enterprise with a mission to serve and empower the non-profit and social enterprise communitities. One of Empact’s core business is to matchmake volunteers together with social enterprise so as to provide social enterprises with quality professional services affordable to Non-Profit organisations and Social Enterpises. In this project, Team Box.us would be developing a Volunteer Matching System to facilitate better communication among various stakeholders and to match client’s needs with volunteer skillsets. Upon conception, the system would help Empact to ease their matching process bottleneck and provide a mobile application for championing micro-volunteerism among its volunteers. |

Q Ticket Mobile Application. The focus of our project is to create mobile queue booking application by leveraging on location based service technology which will enable the lawyers to do self-check-in while within a pre-defined radius from the building. Currently the Queue services available for Lawyers are accessed through the Kiosk at the Supreme Court. This is a problem as Lawyers have to go to the Kiosk physically to register and wait near the Kiosk to check the queue status and access the hearing lists. There is a lot of waiting time as they do not know the timing of their hearing. By having a mobile application, the waiting time is reduced as they will be better informed of the status. This would increase the lawyers’ efficiency and productivity. Supreme Court is interested to invest in applications for Mobile Platforms as the trend is moving towards mobile. |

Succinq, in conjunction with Humaneity, aims to create an Android & iOS mobile application in hope to raise social awareness rather than a business motive in mind. Through the application, users can leverage on popular social media tools such as Facebook and YouTube to share inspiring CSR-related articles and videos which they can also leave in app comments. Users can also make travel arrangements with Humaneity to visit Social Enterprise partner projects enabling them to engage at whatever level they choose. In addition, users are also able to share and dedicate inspiring quotes to their own friends through popular sharing tools such as whatsapp and facebook. The application also provides Humaneity with the power of data analytics. Analytics such as demographics and location of users is vital to Humaneity as they would know what kind of content would be relevant to the masses. |
