Description
While drafting resumes and cover letters has always been a predominant problem faced by many job seekers, the process of screening applicants’ resumes and cover letters has also been an equally tedious process faced by many companies. Although the emergence of employment portals have provided job seekers with the platform to meet prospective clients, and for companies to recruit potential talents, the problems previously mentioned are still prevalent.
With respect to the problems mentioned, our team will deliver a web application, titled FlauntPage. With FlauntPage, Job seekers can prepare employment documents while companies can perform customized filtering of received job applications, thus helping them to better manage recruitment process. This web application adopts the PLAY! Framework and will be built using the Software as a Service (SAAS) model.
Motivation
As undergraduates, we are often worry that companies might not retain our cover letters in a systematic manner, resulting in loss of documents and eventually the loss of opportunity for us. On the other side, companies are constantly looking for ways to shorten and simplify their recruitment process too.
After analysing the issues faced by job seekers, we are determined to provide greater ease in the preparation of employment documents, so as to minimize the amount of procrastination brought about by the inability to produce proper resumes and cover letters during the job application process. At the same time, we hope to enhance companies’ ability in the management of their job applications so they may effectively find the right person at the right time.
