Functionalities

Photo taking
1 Detect stationary shopper Detects when shopper is stationary for at least 5 seconds
2 Display shopper’s silhouette Displays an outline of shopper in black
3 Display doors with enticing scene Displays doors which show a glimpse of enticing scenery e.g. lush greenery, exotic desert or spots in CMA malls
4 Detect shopper's gesture (reaching for a particular door) Detects shopper reaching for one of the doors
5 Display change in chosen door Shows the chosen door would grow bigger and glows and then the scene would dissolve
6 Display augmented reality scenery background Displays the chosen scenery in the background surrounding the shopper's image
7 Countdown timer Starts the countdown timer to count down from 10 to 0 to signal the start of photo taking and cues the shopper to pose
8 Inserting instruction thought bubble Display a thought bubble that instructs shopper to take a photo
9 Take a photo Captures a snapshot of shopper with augmented reality scenery background
10 Display photo Displays the photo of shopper with augmented reality scenery background
Gender Recognition
11 Measure height Measures the height of shopper
12 Measure shoulder & hip width Measures the shoulder and hip width of shopper
13 Detect presence of long hair Detects the length of shopper's hair, whether it is long (below shoulder) or short (above shoulder)
14 Detect presence of skirt Detects whether shopper is wearing a skirt or not
15 Determine gender of shopper Determines the gender of shopper based on the above 5 parameters (height, shoulder & hip width, long hair, skirt, bag)
Promotions, Photo Gallery & Microsoft Tag
16 Determine type of promotions to display Decides whether to display female-related or male-related promotions based on the gender determined earlier on
17 Create tag Create tag with link to either the photo gallery or to gender-related content
18 Overlay of tag Display tag at the bottom right corner of the screen
19 Exit screen Exits screen when shopper takes out his/her mobile phone to scan the Microsoft Tag
20 Photo Gallery A page which shows all the photos taken will be displayed. Shopper can retrieve his/her photo from this page.
21 Read tag Scan Microsoft tag, direct user to allocated page
22 Update tag Change the URL to which a particular Microsoft Tag points to
23 Delete tag Delete tag
24 Integrate tag with AlterSense Integrate tag with gender recognition & photo taking
25 Retrieve analytics from Microsoft Tag web service Retrieve analytics raw values from Microsoft Tag web server
