Project Overview
Project Description
Pivotal Expert is a fun social networking platform which helps entrepreneurs turn their ideas into reality, by easily providing them relevant student developers who are looking for opportunities to gain real world developing exposure and vice versa.
Project Goals
The goal for Pivotal Expert 2.0 is to integrate social networking features and provide student developers with a clear list of achievements that they can unlock to improve their personal profiles and increase their technical experience.
Another goal would also be to create a personal Return-on-Time (ROT) view that will help student developers better understand the area in which they are earning the greatest compensation for their time spent on projects.
Finally, the team will develop the features and business model to support the crowd-sourced evangelization and adoption of Pivotal Expert globally.

Methodology
"Pivotal Tracker is an easy to use, agile project management tool that brings focused collaboration to software development teams. Built by Pivotal Labs, it embodies proven agile methods, based on experience from hundreds of successful large scale projects." - www.pivotaltracker.com
By utilizing this tool, all members are linked to a common view of the project tasks and we can change the statuses of individual tasks from 'started' to 'delivered', which everyone can see almost immediately. When a task has been delivered, an email will automatically be sent to the task owner, requesting him to accept or reject the task. Pivotal Tracker also gives us the ability and flexibility to re-prioritize tasks easily by dragging and dropping. Our team likes the way Pivotal Tracker uses the team's velocity to forecast whether tasks can be completed. The velocity points are used in our project management metric, and gives us greater control in this area.
