|| Realm of 7 is a Android-based simulation game that is based around the education of financial literacy. The interactive game concept allows users to compete by growing their virtual economy by trading resources, constructing buildings, and reacting to scenarios in a time-based game round setting. Our project seeks to enhance the game by introducing analytics on critical variables, such as the trend of items traded and user’s behavior under various gameplay scenarios, to aid the client in refining gameplay and understanding different user profiles. Furthermore, we  will also introduce new and relevant scenarios to create a highly competitive and realistic gameplay that trains players in strategic decisions, teamwork, economics, and negotiation skills. || Handshake is a real-time location-based event management tool that enhances both experiences in managing and attending an event. We have identified two users for this application – event organizers and participants. For event participants, the application’s mobile component would aggregate all available events and its corresponding details, allowing direct sign-ups. Registered participants would automatically be listed in a community circle that would allow them to contact other participants before an event. The application’s peer-to-peer recommendation feature would help improve social networking as the team will be creating its own matching algorithm to connect you to someone whom you would like to meet. During the event, the system is also able to capture your new interests in real-time and make new recommendations accordingly.

|| Mobile helpdesk. Our project focuses on improving the business process of a customer seeking help from the help desk. Statistics have shown that it often takes a long time for customers to locate the right answers to their questions from the website, which results in them eventually calling the hotline of the help desk to seek assistance. Thus, our project aims to create a product that reduces the number of times the customer service officers need to be activated by perhaps incorporating the technologies such as an Intelligent FAQ Search Engine and use of social media tools such as Facebook to help increase customer satisfaction.

|| Android based application – A.Resorts, for Resorts World Sentosa (RWS). The key feature of A.Resorts is (1) an augmented reality (AR) enabled navigation map that aims to enhance the user experience when visiting RWS. Via a mobile device’s camera, user is able to see what attractions are in front of them. Information such as the description of the attraction, navigation, walking distance/time can also be displayed. This allows guests to be better informed and make visit decisions more efficiently.

Another highlight of A.Resorts is a brand new (2) smart queuing system in Universal Studio Singapore (USS). Users are awarded points if they visit attractions with lesser crowd. The system is capable of suggesting such attractions to users and rewarding them points accordingly. These points can be used to redeem express passes to other more popular or crowded attractions. Near field communication (NFC) technology will be used to track users queuing decisions. A.Resorts hereby allows RWS to have a better crowd control, and therefore enhance the users’ experience in USS.

|| Our project aims to create a web-based application and a native android application that will improve collaboration within the Environmental Services in hospitals. This application (tecHKeepers) provides a bird’s eye view of housekeepers’ deployment in a hospital campus. tecHKeepers will use a matching algorithm to recommend housekeepers for assignments such as the ad-hoc and crash program activities. Data analysis reports can be generated by using statistical data from the response time, task duration, number of cancel cases and etc.

|| The focus of our project is to implement Indoor Positioning System (IPS) for Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) by developing a mobile application. Customers of KTPH can choose to download this mobile application onto their mobile device and it will aid the customer in guiding him to the location of his medical appointment at KTPH. When the customer is in the vicinity of KTPH and if he has a medical appointment on that day itself, the mobile application will prompt to guide the customer with KTPH’s indoor map via the Access Point Wifi hosted at KTPH. By implementing this mobile application, customers of KTPH will save time when going for his medical appointment and directly be led to the venue.

Our project aims to develop a mobile-based fashion sharing/searching platform and its back-end Simple Server Interface (SSI). The X-factor of our project will be the image-based searching functionality, which is developed by us with adopting ADSC’s core algorithm.

There are three major parts in this app – Browsing & Display, Fashion Sharing Service, and SSI. For browsing and display function, user can browse fashion items, which are listed based on several methods (i.e. timeline, popularity, and recommendation), and user can also search similar fashion items based on provided images (using algorithm provided by ADSC).

For fashion sharing service function, user can follow others. Also, user can take photos of fashion items and post them to platform, which can be liked, commented, or shared via Facebook by other users. Despite these two parts, the SSI is built to perform image database management, image category management and user account management. Furthermore, it can perform back-end analysis on several topics, such as color trend, brand popularity, user traffic, etc., to deliver better user experience.

Our project is to build a credit card rewards and redemption mobile app with a difference for Standard Chartered Bank. Our application, “Face IT”, a native Android application, will attempt to leverage on Face Recognition Technology (FRT) to allow Credit Card customers intuitive login without the hassle of a password or token. Our project will also seek to explore a digitize form of coupon redemption instead of the conventional hardcopy.

Problem Statement: While our project does not solve a new or existing problem, our inclusion of Face Recognition is targeted towards being a potential enhancement and breakthrough that can revolutionize apps usability.
