User Test 3 (UT3) Consolidated Results
Methodology
Our beta application of MenstruTrack will be reviewed by Apple and uploaded to iTunes Connect. With that, we will add our participants as external testers in iTunes Connect and use TestFlight as a platform to distribute the application. Our participants will use the application for a period of 1 week as their period tracker and we will track their behaviour on the application using Google Analytics.
Quantitative Results
Analytics Result 1: Usage of application and screen views
As seen from above, there is constant usage of MenstruTrack over the time period. This usage decreases over time as seen from the graph and this is because ladies will only use a period tracker application the most when her period arrives (which occurs once every cycle), or just to log their daily symptoms. Seen from the average session duration, we observe that it is at 2 minutes 18 seconds with over 10 screens views a session.
Analytics Result 2: Usage of application and detailed screen views
Drilling down into the screen views of the individual pages, we can see that the home page has the most views. Our team has also managed to bring in 102 views for the shop page for our client during this UT3, which is a rather significant amount.
Analytics Result 3: Usage by tasks
As seen from above, creating a new user is the most frequent task done by our participants. Next, log symptoms task can be seen to rather popular by users as well. This tells us that we can explore enhancing the symptoms logging page as it is being frequently used.
Qualitative Results
After a week of using the application, we asked our participants 3 main questions:
- What do you like about MenstruTrack?
- What do you dislike about MenstruTrack?
- Will you continue to use it? If not, why?
These are the main feedback regarding the 3 questions.
What do you like about MenstruTrack?
- It is easy to navigate, clean and has nice aesthetics
- It is a useful application
- Tips on handling cramps
- The Calendar tab gives a good overview
- The logging of symptoms is helpful
- It is an interactive application
- Information about cycle stage is useful
What do you dislike about MenstruTrack?
- Users feel that the home page is too clustered and want tabs to be collapsible
- Users don’t like the name of the application
- No “back to top” button for users in shop webpage
- No tutorial on how to purchases products
Will you continue to use it? If not, why?
As we can see, 90% of our participants are willing to use MenstruTrack. Out of the 10% who are not willing to use the application, these are the 2 main reasons why:
- These ladies do not use a period tracker to start with
- These ladies are reluctant to change period trackers
