Framework
Team Zora will adopt the Agile Process in their development of the Human Resource Management Web Application.
What is the Agile Process?
- It values Individuals & Interactions over processes & tools. Self-organization and drive are important in this aspect.
- It is more concerned over a Working Software over comprehensive documentation. The former is definitely more useful compared to the latter.
- It involves Customer Collaboration rather than contract negotiation. Requirements cannot be fully gathered at the beginning; therefore continuous communication with client is very essential.
- Rather than strictly following a plan, it Responds to Change.
Iteration
Each iteration is 2 weeks (14 days). The team will be working on a time-boxed iterative approach where time boxes will be allocated. The deadline for the tasks in each iteration will be strictly adhered to. In the case where a task which is initially allocated in an iteration cannot be completed within the iteration itself, the task will be rescheduled to other iterations. The following is a guideline of each iteration:
Development Phase
- Each development phase will consist of 2-3 iterations.
- Buffer days will be allocated at the end of every phase and before a project milestone (i.e. Acceptance, Mid-term review & Final).
- Deployment will be done at the end of every iteration.
