Project Highlight
Unexpected things happened during the project process.
So in order to keep track of these unexpected things that causes a change in coding, our team has a change log. To view more details about our change log you can click here.
Below are the 2 project highlights of our team.
1. Restructuring of database needed for the scalability of project in future.
During iteration 5, we had a feedback session with the client for the acceptance presentation. After much discussion about the scalability of the project, we realized there is a misalignment about the database as it does not cater to future development. hence our team decided to restructure the database to cater their needs. Although this restructuring has a high priority as it will impact our project process and needs to be implemented immediately, there was a modification task for feedback planned by the project manager beforehand hence our team is able to restructure the database within the time planned.
2. Usability of application needs more attention
After consolidating the feedback and observations from the user testing 2, the team realizes that the application is not intuitive enough, many users find difficulty to navigate to functionailities like edit lane even though changes have been made after the user testing 1. Additionally, many users find that there were too much clicks needed to do a single function, example create lane even though changes have been made (to have default value in the form). Hence our team decided to pay more attention to the usability of the application and revamp the interface of the application, focusing on the map interface.
