Project Motivation

As Choa Chu Kang is home to more than 170,000 residents, our team aims to analyse population trends to determine if the current number of amenities for each age group will be able to adapt well to the projected increase in population numbers by 2024 and meet the needs of the residents. After a thorough analysis, we will be able to make suitable recommendations and adjustments that Choa Chu Kang can make in order to meet the needs of the growing population. In particular, we will be analysing the trends of these age groups in Choa Chu Kang: Infants (ages 0-4) Young children (ages 5-14) Youth (ages 15-24) Working population (ages 25-64) Elderly (ages 65 and above) Through this project, we aim to: Determine if current amenities and facilities will be able to meet the needs of the projected population of Choa Chu Kang in 2024, especially that of the infants, working population and elderly.
