PROJECT REPORT

Motivation & Objective

As part of our module, Geographic Information Systems for Urban Planning, our group will be taking on a business profiling project in collaboration with an international F&B chain. For our project, we will be focusing on the company's outlets in Taiwan, in particular the west region and most of which are located in Kaohsiung city. Hence, we are covering a total of 15 outlets in which each outlet is surrounded by a trade area.

Our main objective is to extract the total number of Point of Interests (POIs) within each trade area. This would allow us to determine the likelihood of customers dining at a particular outlet. The results of this project will provide the F&B chain with the necessary geographic data analysis to make an informed decision regarding their sales and marketing strategy.
