This project involves a collaboration with a popular restaurant chain and international franchise that owns more than 18,000 restaurants worldwide. Using the data the company has provided, our team will be focusing our efforts on analyzing 13 restaurants' trade areas found in the northern part of Taiwan, close to the Tamsui River. Through the use of a Geographic Information System Application known as QGIS, we will carefully delineate and digitize their trade areas out from their static form, then make use of the skills taught in our weekly classes to extract out the relevant Points Of Interests in each trade area. From there on, we will generate accurate business profiles for each of the restaurants under our charge, establish valuable findings for the company optimize their restaurants' performances and help come up with profitable business strategies to maintain their longstanding success.
