Project Motivation
Our client is a global brand in the Food and Beverage industry. As the number of its stores grows bigger, it urgently needs a way to analyze the performance of its stores in different trade areas. Therefore, our team aims to perform in-depth analysis on each trade area of its stores and uncover the relationship between its stores' performance and the Point of Interest around each stores.
Project Objectives
Our objective is to conduct trade area analysis on 13 stores located in New Taipei city by using QGIS and discover insights that can be used in designing business strategies, optimizing the performance of the stores and planning the location of new stores in the future. In our analysis, we aim to uncover any correlation between the sales of each store with POIs within their trade areas. We will also allocate a POI score to each POI to find out which trade area has more potential customers, this insight will be used to plan the location of new stores and reallocation of the boundary of trade areas.
