Methods at which Singapore citizens buy a Housing Development Board (HDB) flat can be different, with some examples being Build-To-Order (BTO), Design, Build and Sell Scheme (DBSS) and purchasing a resale flat as some of the available options. Resale flats are like second-hand flats with less than 99 year left on the lease. Flats in this category are often in more matured areas with existing infrastructure and amenities, which means they are also rather popular with to-be buyers. In this project, the team aims to focus on the the prices of resales flats and how infrastructure nearby such as shopping malls, MRT stations and healthcare facilities impact the prices of such flats. | ||

Project Description |
Housing prices in Singapore is often a hot topic for discussion. Being an island state with a limited land area, property prices in Singapore has always been on the general increase. Methods at which Singapore citizens buy a Housing Development Board (HDB) flat can be different, with some examples being Build-To-Order (BTO), Design, Build and Sell Scheme (DBSS) and purchasing a resale flat as some of the available options. Resale flats are like second-hand flats with less than 99 year left on the lease. Flats in this category are often in more matured areas with existing infrastructure and amenities, which means they are also rather popular with to-be buyers.
