Compare with average

Insights Visualization
1. Rising values:

Ammonium, Anionic active surfactants, Chemical Oxygen Demand(Cr), AOX, Bicarbonates, Magnesium, Magnesium, Sulphates, Total hardness

  • Recent Period (from 2014 to 2016)

In the recent years, Ammonium, Anionic active surfactants, Chemical Oxygen Demand(Cr) ,AOX, Bicarbonates, Magnesium, Magnesium, Sulphates, Total hardness are abnormal volatility during the past three year. Specially, in Kohsoom and Tansanee, there is obvious upper stream for those values. While, Tansanee has the above average reading values with most of valuables.

2. Decreasing values:

Gamma-Hexachorocyclohexane, Cadmium, Chlorides, Chlorodinine
There are some types of values with decreasing trend. For gamma-Hexachlorocyclohexane,Clorodinine, the readings are decreasing along with all places, thus we can conclude it is happened overall area. It may due to environment changes.

From now, we can conclude Kohsoom, Tansanee may have a potential risk of pollution, due to the values changes recently. But Tansanee collection data is not sufficient to confirm as it is only from 2009. And there are also interesting valuables such as water temperature implied the place is in the north part of the earth, because of June, July high temperature.

For those dropping readings, that may be changed from climate or human activities. We may need to collect more data to fill in all gaps to find out other evidence.

Waterway Analysis

Insights Visualization
1. Paths discovery

The path 4 water flow: Boonsri, Kohsoom, Busaakhan, Chai to Kannika.

  • Recent Period (from 2014 to 2016)

For those Ammonium, Anionic active surfactants, Chemical Oxygen Demand(Cr), AOX, Bicarbonates, Magnesium, Sulphates, Total hardness increasing value, we can continue to discovery any insights for the maps. In the recent years, the Anionic active surfactants, AOX, Total dissolved phosphorus are abnormal volatility during the past three years in the upper streams at path 4. So there is potential evidence to approve the pollution from Path 4, original impacts from Kohsoom and Boonsri.

Time Analysis

Patterns Visualization
1.Location Analysis with time changes
We can also apply weekly pattern, monthly pattern and seasonal pattern into different location. For those rising measure such as Anionic active surfactants , June, November for monthly, Q3,Q4 for seasonal have the bigger impacts in terms of cyclic. And pattern for each locations has similar trend.

2. Recent year trend 2011-2016

We choose Kohsoom and Tansanee for further assessment. From the slope chart 2011-2016, those two places have growing trend can be found more clearly.

Conclusion

There are many measures in the preserver, and some of those are toxic will definitely impact the Pipit and other wildlife such as lead, arsenic. Even with a small portion, those will cause severity issues from water into animals. What's more, Pipits are active terrestrial birds that usually spend most of their time on the ground. So chemical like Atrazine will influence the health of Pipits. Furthermore, there are many types of industrial pollution in the waterway such as AOX, Cesium, Arsenic will impact the environment.

In the dataset, many measures are not used anymore, so it causes discontinue trend and very irregular lines. And we need to collect more detailed description for measures used and methods collected. And it is better to provide the sampling strategy, water Volume, the speed of the stream with consistent periods. The preserver staff should collect the soil data and more frequency data for further investigation near potential pollution locations. After more frequently data collection, we can apply statistical analysis, cluster sampling, stratified and random sampling to get an accurate result. There are some recommendations for collecting data, we can put more sensors along the whole waterways and monitor values in advanced ways. Then, increasing the regular collection plan to find out the pattern and set up the rules to collect sampling with 0 value if not detected rather than not recorded. At the same time, existing data can establish the dictionary and divide measures into different groups based on the average level in different locations and waterways.

A nature reserve is a protected area of importance for wildlife, flora, fauna or features of geological or special interest, which is also valuable for special study. In order to prevent contamination, we should pay more attention to set up sampling and apply into another preserve area.
