[[anuthamam.2016]]. The Chord plot is definitely an eye-catcher in the visualizations that you have used. It helps to identify the frequently used paths that are popular. Overall you have analysed the time based data effectively especially the use of vehicle density plot. For future works you can consider movement analysis based on sequence of gates visited. Good call out on frequent visitors, you could analyse their movement data for some insights.

* You have made a good effort in coming up with the chord map. From an aesthetic point of view, the gate names could appear near respective curves rather than using annotation. Also, the curves in the chord map have values on them, which could be useful but is redundant in the map and makes it look quite clumsy.

Plots used are useful and simple to understand, visualisations you have used is easily understandable to the layman and is what needed in the business context I believe. The chord plot is quite good and connects the locations and travel patterns. Could have added more visualisations/insights to the last question. Pattern 3 in question 2 is pretty interesting. One suggestion is that you could have tried some other techniques also such as a heat map. Hope this helps.

anuthamam.2016.

Feedback 2

sanghavyb.2016. The visualizations used here are quite good and you have got some pretty good insights.

  • You have made a good effort in coming up with the chord map. From an aesthetic point of view, the gate names could appear near respective curves rather than using annotation. Also, the curves in the chord map have values on them, which could be useful but is redundant in the map and makes it look quite clumsy.
  • The resolution of the images can be improvised as it is quite difficult to read the contents.
  • For pattern3 in Q2 could be rotated to give a better view.

Feedback 3

arunkumarcr.2016 Plots used are useful and simple to understand, visualisations you have used is easily understandable to the layman and is what needed in the business context I believe. The chord plot is quite good and connects the locations and travel patterns. Could have added more visualisations/insights to the last question. Pattern 3 in question 2 is pretty interesting. One suggestion is that you could have tried some other techniques also such as a heat map. Hope this helps.
