To be a Visual Detective: Detecting spatio-temporal patterns
In this assignment, we were tasked to analyse data with regards to DinoFun World. DinoFun World is a typical modest-sized amusement park, sitting on about 215 hectares and hosting thousands of visitors each day. During an event which consisted of a weekend tribute to Scott Jones, an internationally renowned football star, a crime occurred in the park, which marred the event. As such, the main task was to analyse patterns in the in-app communication data provided. The main tools used was Gephi, JMP and Tableau, in order to analyse the network data and to understand how visitors communicated in the park over the three days, and to also see how the crime had impacted the patterns in communication.
