At the first glance, [https://eagereyes.org/parallel-sets Parallel Sets] looks innovative and interesting approach of visualization. I liked the way dimensional data is represented in a flow, getting distributed across the horizontal categorical sections. Interactive nature of the tool helps customizing the structure and focus of analysis.
 
I was interested in trying out the features, but the application won't work on my system.  I used [https://code.google.com/archive/p/parsets/downloads Parallel Sets 2.1 Setup.exe] for installation on my Win 10 Education machine. I get this fatal error every time I try to launch the application. Application was last updated in Aug 2009, so I am wondering if this is due to OS compatibility issue. Is anyone else facing similar issue?

I am quite confused over if it were valid to compare tree-maps with decision trees. I am not sure if treemaps and decision trees should b compared with each other. If I didnt mis-interpret it wrongly, both served different purposes. For instance, a tree-map is to display the hierarchical of categorical variable - more on showing a "breakdown" of the data by the categorical variables or continuous variable (after using binning). However, a decision tree is more of displaying the possible outcome of decisions.

Thus, both are very different to me. As both tree map and decision tree are giving me different type of analysis, the former displaying "what has happened", while the latter displaying more of "what may happen". Perhaps the only similarity is that both of them show a "breakdown" or "branches". Other than that, they are different to me. Hence, unable to display the similar analysis from a tree map, onto a decision tree right?
