Abstract

This project covers the analytical view of Singapore's trends in the share and distribution of private properties. It is important to understand the how the supply of private properties meets the population demand. Studying the patterns of the type of housing as well as the willingness of the buyers to pay for a luxurious house can help to determine the pricing and type of house buyers may expect in the future.

Problem and Motivation

In Singapore, the Ministry of Law has a few land policies. It's primary concern is the land utilisation under the Residential Property Act. As Singapore's population grows, there is also an increasing trend in foreign population. This policy places Singapore Citizens with priority in purchasing the land. Thereafter placing foreigners depending on their contributions to Singapore. But this does not mean that the land is best utilised. The focus would be to find out which type of residential properties are commonly built as well as the willingness of the buyers to pay.

Approaches

Each quarter displays the respective supply of private properties and allows an analytical view of the property trends.
