Abstract

The Workplace Safety and Health Report 2014 displays the different industries with reported incidents at the workplace. This report shows the statistics of the employers, occupiers and medical practitioners input of data on workplace and work-related accidents. However, there are many contributing factors other than work-related that is not explicitly displayed. The different types of occupations have varying factors such as environment or working hours required as well as the working schedule that could also contribute to workplace injuries. Nevertheless, it is still important to instill workplace safety standards across all levels. As safety involves both a safe environment as well as good ergonomics which requires both the employer and the employee to play their part.
